VERMILLION, S.D. --
In the end, Lincoln and Roosevelt's state championship rematch was a lot like their first meeting when it came to Patriot running back Caden Quintanilla.
The Riders couldn't stop him.
Trailing 24-20 at half, Quintanilla ran for three of his four touchdowns in the second half, and Lincoln rallied to win the 11AAA State Championship 47-24.
Quintanilla was named the Joe Robbie MVP, running for 244 yards on 30 carries to go along with the four touchdowns. After a back and forth first half, Lincoln's defense shut down the Riders in the second half, shutting Roosevelt out while the offense scored 27 unanswered points.
Roosevelt was held to just 35 yards rushing in the game, with Taryn Christion managing only three yards. Christion passed for 322 yards and a pair of scores but was also intercepted twice.
Lincoln finishes the season a perfect 11-0. Roosevelt ends 2013 9-2 with both losses to Lincoln.
