High-Speed Chase On I-29 Ends In Arrest

A man is in custody after leading law enforcement on a high speed chase in Lincoln County early Wednesday morning.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, around 1 a.m., law enforcement received a report of a vehicle traveling north bound in the south bound lane of I-29, near the Lennox-Parker exit. The South Dakota Highway Patrol attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver did not stop and a chase ensued.
According to officials, at times speeds reached upwards of 85 miles per hour.
After a half hour pursuit, the vehicle was finally stopped when the highway patrol spiked the vehicle's tires. An adult male was arrested at the scene.
The highway patrol is investigating the chase.
