Police in southeast South Dakota say the man found dead this week in a parking lot near the Corn Palace died of a heart condition.
Mitchell police say 58-year-old Timothy Sattler didn't die of a heart attack, but his condition was not released.
A motorist who passed by the parking lot called police Thursday. The caller reported seeing a man lying face down in the lot, which is located across the street and to the east of the Corn Palace.
Lt. Don Everson with the Mitchell Police Department says Sattler's body had lacerations in the neck and face area. He says police suspect the injuries were a result of the man's fall.
Sattler lived in Mitchell for about five years.
