South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has been elected to serve as the president-elect of the National Association of Attorneys General.
Jackley will lead the group comprised of the attorneys general of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.
Jackley was selected to the position this week in Michigan.
Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood is the current president and Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen has been elected to serve as vice president.
Jackley says this role will help him identify and address issues that affect South Dakota.
