Police are still trying to determine where a Sioux Falls man was killed, but say the death of the 27 year old Joseph Cynkar is a homicide.
Authorities say Benjamin Carter and Payton Strum are responsible for Cynkar's death, but murder charges are still pending.
Cynkar's body was found next to the Big Sioux River in Lyon County, IA, with his hands and feet tied with cable.
An autopsy shows Cynkar died from suffocation and blunt force trauma to the head.
"I think it's safe to say. I don't know where it happened, that's one of the things that we are trying to determine, but you know, I think you can use the word homicide if you have one person that has died at the hands of another, that's a homicide," said Officer Sam Clemens, Sioux Falls Police Dept.
Officials still want to talk to the person who gave Strum a ride from Iowa back to Sioux Falls.
Police say the person is not in trouble, but they hope to get more information about what happened after the death took place.
