RV Parking Once Again Causing Heated Discussions

The argument over what you "can" and "can not" park in front of your home is once again causing heated argument in Sioux Falls.
"I've paid taxes on my house for years, and I can't park my boat in my driveway? That's baffling,” said a concerned citizen at Monday’s city council meeting.
City council members are responding by looking over a city ordinance that doesn't allow residents to park their motor homes, boats and other recreational vehicles in front of their homes.
As it stands now, they can park them behind their homes on a hard surface for any amount of time. But to some citizens who own RV's, that's not enough.
"Maybe opening it back up and lengthening the amount of time a vehicle can be parked on the street a little bit, and the size. It's a complex issue,” said Bob Litz, who’s on the Sioux Falls City Council and a member of the Land Use Committee.
Council Members say while no decisions were made at tonight's land use committee meeting, they will continue to explore the topic in the future.
