Mayor Huether Strengthens Sioux Falls Community Development With Transfers

Mayor Mike Huether announces Erica Beck and Brent O’Neil will be transferred from Planning and Building Services to Community Development/Public Parking.

Beck will serve as Community Development Manager under department director Darrin Smith. She will be focusing on issues involving community development, neighborhood conservation, downtown development, and other related economic development initiatives. Beck has been with the City of Sioux Falls since April 4, 2005, and held the title of Urban Planner until December 31, 2007, when she was reassigned to the position of Senior Planner.

O’Neil will continue to serve as an Urban Planner in Community Development/Public Parking under Beck’s supervision. O’Neil has been employed with the City of Sioux Falls as an Urban Planner in Planning and Building Services since March 31, 2008.
