The Sioux Empire Fair is making a deal. They've created a new pass called the "Sioux-per Pass." It's a 50 dollar purchase that covers six days entrance and all carnival rides. KDLT's Krystle Kacner reports from the the fair grounds.
Krystle Kacner: "The Sioux Empire Fair is now only weeks away. The acts and the entertainment have already been introduced but there was a new announcment that came out today and I'm here with CEO Tryg Fredrickson to talk a little bit about that."
Krystle Kacner, KDLT News: Tryg, what should fair goers be expecting?
Tryg Fredrickson, Sioux Empire Fair CEO: New and bigger and better. Just got off the phone with our carnival provider and he said we're going to wow them this year Tryg, so I'm really happy. In conjunction with wowing people is to give them a good deal this and to come up with the "Sioux-per Pass." And that is going to be 50 dollars which is going to get tham admission through the gate through the entire run of the fair and also ride passes every day.
Kacner: Why create a pass like this?
Fredrickson: It's one of the big things there's alot of pressure out there for people to give them lower prices and to give people a better deal, and I compromised and I said I'll give a good deal for the people that are going to come outmultiple days.
Kacner: What do you hope this pass will bring to the fair?
Fredrickson: I hope it brings people out for more than one day and get to see the new things we have. The Budweiser Bridle Wood is going to change over every day we'll have new stuff going on every day. I hope poeple come on and see the different shows."
Kacner: Thank you so much Tryg for joining us today. Once again you can get these passes for 50 dollars. And you can get them Lewis Drug Stores, Sunshine Foods or Get and Go GasStations. Back to you guys in the studio.
Sioux Empire Fair Officials say this pass is valued at 180 dollars.
The fair runs August 10th through August 15th.
