High, Fast Moving Water In Lincoln County Strands Cars and Floods Roads

Officials at the National Weather Service report that it is now the wettest June and July period on record for Sioux Falls.
The old record for both months was 14.29 inches; we've seen more than 15 inches so far.
Many roads are underwater.
Emergency management says to use caution in northern Lincoln County due to water flooding the roads. No travel is advised for low-lying areas.
Emergency crews were called out to help a stranded driver in Lincoln County this morning.
Officials say floodwaters got so bad south of Sioux Falls; cars not only were stalled, but also stranded.
In a case this morning around 5 am, fire truck ladders were used to rescue the man from his vehicle.
