KDLT News Captures Amazing Water Rescue on Camera

Heavy rains turned into a busy night and day for emergency crews in Minnehaha and Lincoln County. KDLT News was on the scene of an early morning water rescue southeast of Sioux Falls near the Spring Creek Golf course.

Residents in the area say more than six inches of rain fell causing Spring Creek to rise out of its banks and over 480th Avenue. A driver tried to make it through but only made it part of the way as the water was too strong and swepted him off the road. Rescuers used a ladder to pull the man to safety.
