Rice Recovering From Hip Injury

Vikings Training Camp continued in Mankato Saturday and Percy Harvin remained away from the team, mourning the death of his grandmother.
The team says Harvin will return early next week. One guy who does not have a clear timetable though is Sidney Rice. The Viking receiver has dealt with injuries his entire NFL career and is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform list due to a hip injury. The Vikings hope he'll be healthy for the start of the season and this latest injury won't derail him after last year's breakout season.
"I'm getting better," said Rice. "I'm doing a lot of ground work, getting back on the ground, running around. Training staff is doing a great job, strength coaches getting me back right, so we're doing a little conditioning, strengthening exercises, things like that."
The Vikings have Sunday off before returning to practice on Monday. By the way, the Pro Football Hall of Fame inducted seven new members Saturday, including Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith and former Viking great John Randle.
