Gerhart Adjusting to NFL

The Minnesota Vikings did not practice Sunday, their first day off since Training Camp began on July 30th.
That will give the team a chance to get a few players healthy as they enter the final week of camp. Sidney Rice, John Sullivan, Darius Reynaud and Naufahu Tahi are just a few of the guys nursing injuries right now. Even Adrian Peterson missed some time earlier in the week. That gave a little more time to rookie running back Toby Gerhart from Stanford, who is still trying to soak things in as he enters the NFL.
"Every single play is full speed, 100 percent, give it your all," said Gerhart. "In college I think you can get away in some periods with gliding, but here it's upbeat, it's intense and it gets to you a little bit."
Practice resumes Monday.
