SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Sept. 15, 2010) — University of Sioux Falls freshman cross country runner Bobby Brockmueller (Brandon, S.D.) has been named this week’s Great Plains Athletic Conference Male Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday evening.

Brockmueller helped the Cougar cross country team get off to a great start to the season with a second place individual finish at the Nike Heartland Pre-Regional Meet held at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls. Brockmueller traversed the five mile course in a time of 26 minutes, 35 seconds as USF finished third as a team, just three points behind race-winner Iowa Western College.

USF will complete with some of the region’s best runners at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 18 at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Neb.
