BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has announced that Augustana quarterback Josh Hanson has been named its Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Vikings' 52-21 win over U-Mary on Saturday.

Hanson, a sophomore from Watertown, S.D., had a monster game on Saturday, completing 31 of 45 passes for 406 yards and five touchdowns. Hanson didn’t throw an interception all afternoon and also ran in for a score from 16 yards out. His touchdown passes covered distances of 28, 20, 13, 22 and 5 yards. His favorite target was Tyler Schulte, who caught four of those touchdown passes to tie a school record. Hanson leads the NSIC with 329.5 passing yards per game and has already thrown for 915 yards in just three games this season.

Hanson's selection marks the second time this season Augustana has had an NSIC Player of the Week selection.  Ryan Isaacson was named Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7.

Augustana (3-0, 2-0 NSIC) hosts Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The contest marks the first this season with an opponent from the NSIC South Division.
