It's an event that's aimed at raising money to help children diagnosed with cancer and now they're asking for your help. It doesn't require any skin off your back, but maybe a little hair off of your head. This morning we talked with Rob Keisacker, his son Ian, who had surgery on a tumor in 2009 and Erin Stange, event organizer about the 5th Annual St. Baldrick's Day Event.
The event raises money for childhood cancer by having participants obtain donations and in return the participants shave their heads to show solidarity with children that lose their hair due to cancer treatment.
Over the years, St. Baldrick's has raised over $80,000 and shaved over 350 heads. This year they are already on track with $8,600 dollars raised.
If you would like to get involved you can attend the event at:
Sioux Falls Pizza Ranch on 41st St.
