American Lung Association's "Fight For Air Walk":The Morning Show Interview

Lung diseases claim the lives of 1 out of every 6 individuals each year across the country.
Now America's oldest voluntary health organization is moving forward in the fight for research and prevention with a walk at the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls this weekend.
Linda Redder, of the American Lung Association-South Dakota, and Annette Rentchler, a Registered Nurse and Volunteer spoke with us this morning on the morning show about the event and the hopes of finding cures for lung diseases such as asthma and lung cancer.
In South Dakota an estimated 100,000 adults and children have lung disease including over 18,000 children with asthma.
Lung disease is America's #3 killer. Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer in both men and women in the United States.
Tobacco remains the #1 preventable cause of death in the U.S.
The Fight for Air Walk raises funds for the work of the American Lung Association in South Dakota.
The walk takes place this Saturday at the Empire Mall.
The walk is approximately 3-5 miles, while the ultimate distance is up to you as you can set your own pace.
