The Madison City Commission will take up an ordinance to regulate vicious or dangerous animals in the wake of a dog's attack on a woman recently.
The commission reviewed two proposed ordinances Monday. One would regulate vicious animals in general and the other would deal specifically with pit bulls.
Commissioner Scott Delzer suggested a review of all animal ordinances to include pet vaccinations and registration.
The commission told the city attorney to combine the two proposed ordinances into one covering all dangerous animals and to bring it back for their review at another meeting.
