Pheasants Looking To Turn Things Around Soon

The Pheasants have been on kind of a tough stretch. Last night the Birds lost 4 to 2 to the Sioux City Explorers, their 4th defeat in five games.

That gives Sioux Falls one of the worst records in the league at nine and thirteen. Still, the season is extremely young, and as they sit only four games below .500 and five and a half games out of first in the North Division, the Pheasants aren't content and know they can play better.

"I think that yes we don't feel like we're living up to what we expected to be able to do at this point. And yes, I think everybody on the team feels that we're capable of playing better baseball than what we've been showing through the first 19 games. Hopefully that starts soon." Pheasants Manager Steve Shirley said.

The Pheasants will return home to kick off a series with Wichita Tuesday.
