I know there were some nervous motorcycle riders Saturday after seeing the dark clouds and the radar images earlier in the day, but things have cleared out beautifully for Hot Harley Nights in Sioux Falls. Some places picked up some respectable rainfall – Huron picked up over 3”! We could still see a few showers in the extreme SE portions of the area for Sunday morning, but nothing too crazy.
Sunday will be the last day close to average for temperatures for a while. We will see a dome of cool Canadian air push southward over the upper Midwest, and that is going to drop temps to 10-15° below average. The good thing is this air mass will block a lot of moisture from marching northward, and that is going to lead to a very dry week, in fact it doesn’t look like rain will return until next week!
Enjoy the warmth on Sunday; it’s going to feel like early October on Monday!
