The President's Bowl football games and activities is back again this year. You can catch some great high school football games, your kids can participate in cheerleading and football clinics, and you can support local high school booster clubs.
Tom Shields with the President's Bowl says the day will begin with cheerleading and football clinics for the kids, followed by a tailgating party and the two games. Roosevelt High School will take on O'Gorman at 3:30 p.m. and Lincoln High School will face Washington High School at 7 p.m.
Shields says although Howard Wood Field has been under construction recently, it shouldn't affect anything during the event except where the players will go during halftime. He also says there are still sports available for the clinics, and parents can even register their kids the morning of.
Proceeds from the President's Bowl go to support the booster clubs of the three schools, Washington, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. Shields says that money goes to help all school activities, not just sports. He says even if you don't have kids who are in sports or even in the district, it's a great way to support education and the community.
