Badlands Pawn and KBAD 94.5 want to give you a haircut! This Sunday, head to the pawn shop where Supercuts stylists will take the stage with scissors in hand, and all the proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society during the Super Cut-a-Thon.

Carrie Dragt, the senior marketing manager at the American Cancer Society here in Sioux Falls, says the idea to do a haircut fundraiser came when she sat down with some of the crew at Badlands Pawn to brainstorm unique ways to help raise money for ACS. Dragt says because oftentimes those with cancer lose their hair, they decided a haircut fundraiser would be a great idea.

Alicia Pack, promotions manager at Badlands Pawn, says the Super Cut-a-Thon is just one part of a whole weekend of charity events out at the Badlands. The Halloween blood drive will be happening Friday at Cleaver's Bad Deli at 10 a.m. as well. She says in true Badlands fashion, there will be plenty of giveaways all weekend, including gift bags for the first 100 people and entry into a contest for a prize pack worth over $250, including concert tickets, shirts, silver and more.

Jill Solberg, a Supercuts owner, says those coming out to get a haircut can get whatever they'd like done except major styling and coloring. Solberg says she's excited to be a part of this fundraiser because so many people are touched by cancer. Kaysi Brown, an assistant manager at Supercuts, says anyone and everyone is welcome to come get a haircut, kids and adults alike.

The Super Cut-a-Thon will be at Badlands Pawn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cuts are $16 with every penny going to the American Cancer Society. Four stylists will be available Sunday.
