SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -

In just a few weeks, another round of college students will be graduating and joining us in the real world, but as we all know, it's not always a breeze getting that first job or getting your foot in the door.

Russ Hovendick, president of Client Staffing Solutions, says there are a few myths that peopel tend to believe about jobs this time of year. He says many times people think there are not a lot of jobs avaiable this time of year, but the winter months are the busiest for employers. Hovendick says he always encourages job-seekers to be active in their search. He says all industries are hiring, so the job market is great for anyone looking, but he says it is very competitive.

Hovendick says one great way to be competitive in job-seeking is to be prepared before your interview. Practice what you want to say, and know who you are, what your strengths and weaknesses are, and know how to say it to employers.
