SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -

We're starting a new recurring series called Critter Corner. Monday, we talked about shedding and how to keep your pet's hair from getting all over everything.

Justin Shatto from Woofs and Waves says feeding your dog all-natural foods will be easier for them to digest and will help minimize shedding. He says dogs shed twice a year-- their winter coat and their summer coat. Shatto says getting your dog professionally groomed regularly will help get the undercoat managed. Woofs and Waves has all sorts of food and a variety of brushes to help. They also have a professional on hand for advice.

Malorie Adamson from the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society says they have a 7-year-old Golden Retriever-Lab mix named Remington. Remy is a trained hunting dog, and has been at the shelter twice now. He is very playful and energetic and doesn't do well with smaller animals, like cats.
