It's one of most popular winter events in downtown Sioux Falls; the Parade of Lights never disappoints! Dozens of local businesses and organizations create stunning floats, and even though it is a contest, it's all for fun to get into the holiday spirit.
Brienne Maner with DTSF Inc. says the atmosphere at the Parade of Lights is magical. She says because it's the day after Thanksgiving, there's always so many families that come to watch the parade, and the parade wouldn't be what it is without community support. Maner says the Parade of Lights really stands out from the other parades, and it always ends with Santa and Frank the Elf.
Rachel Woodman with CenturyLink, which is one of the sponsors of the parade, is a judge this year. She says she judges each float based on their use of lights, and she loves seeing what ideas each group comes up with.
