SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -

This Thursday, the annual Recycle the Runway event returns. Dozens of local boutiques will compete, using old clothes and making something new with them.

Samantha Bucknell from Dress for Success says Recycle the Runway is about bringing the community together to empower women. The event brings together ten local boutiques. Each group will get a bag of clothing that was donated to Dress for Success that isn't used for interview, and they'll also have an arsenal of supplies, like sewing machines, scissors, glue, and so on, so make a new outfit out of the items in their bag.

Abby Bischoff from EmBe says after EmBe merged with DFS in January, Recycle the Runway is a great way to bring to light their mission together, to empower women, and to engage with women in the community.

Recycle the Runway will be Thursday, November 17 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Sioux Falls. Tickets are $20 at participating boutiques or $30 at the door. For more information, click here.
