This Saturday, EmBe is hosting a fun, day-long event for girls ages eight to 14 where they can learn about science, technology, engineering, math and art-- STEAM studies.

Stacy Stahl, Director of Girls and Youth programs, says art was added to STEM because those subjects already integrate the arts, whether is creating designs, drawing models, or sketching out new ideas. At the Girl's Maker Day, girls can try hands-on activities and experiments with Code Bootcamp, FIRST Lego Robotics, Futurescape 3D, JAM Art & Supply and more.

Girl's Maker Day is Saturday, October 15 at EmBe's downtown office on 11th Street and Minnesota Avenue. It's free and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
