SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -

The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire is hosting its October Showcase this Saturday and Sunday, October 8-9. You can take a tour of beautiful homes around the city, check out the latest design trends, and maybe even get some good ideas for your own home.

Jason Seykora of Seykora Remodeling LLC says while he doesn't design and build the homes from the ground up, he takes on jobs in and around the home to revamp and make it new. He says the sky is the limit to what homeowners want these days, and he can do it all and keep it within your budget. Bathroom and kitchens are the most common places, and Seykora says that's where you can get the "most bang for your buck." Kitchens can get the most expensive to remodel because of the appliances, but Seykora's team can also give some advice and tips on the design process from furniture to paint to appliances.

Cole Weller of Weller Brothers Landscaping says during the fall, many homeowners like to have firepits to enjoy throughout the cooler months. Weller says his company can help design and build pools, decks, outdoor kitchen, and even maintenance such lawncare, gardens, and plants.

The October Showcase is Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. both days. You can find a map of the homes on the HBASE website as well as in the Home Ideas magazine, which can be found at your local Hy-Vee store. The homes on display do have homeowners, and it will be $5 to tour.
