SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -

A classic Christmas tradition for many families is building gingerbread houses. It's a great way to get the family together, and the Sioux Falls Design Center is hosting a contest to see who can build the best in the Great Gingerbread Build!

Sioux Falls Design Center director Kellen Boice says last year's inaugural Great Gingerbread Build was such a success. Nine entries competed in a handful of different categories, and this year they have spots open fro 25 entries. She says people can build individual houses in the adult and child categories, or they can build as a group with their business or friends.

There are a few rules that need to be followed, and applications to participate are due Friday, November 18. You can find more information here.
