Bob Dylan Receives Nobel Prize
Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has won the 2016 Nobel Prize in literature.
According to a citation by the Swedish Academy, Dylan won the prize "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” The 75-year-old artist is the first American to win the prize since novelist Toni Morrison won in 1993.
Dylan is scheduled to receive his award in Stockholm, Sweden on December 10.
Prince Tribute Concert takes over St. Paul
Prince fans came out for a celebrity Prince Tribute Concert in the pop star's home state, Minnesota.
The official tribute concert in Saint Paul brought out fans for a night of prince throwbacks. People showed up in eccentric outfits and purple swag in honor of the late pop artist. The star-studded event featured musicians from the past several decades.
Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, and John Mayer were a few of the big names on the celebrity line-up.
