Tonight's the night! Disney on Ice takes the rink at the PREMIER Center starting Thursday evening through Sunday. The performers travel for many months and practice often, and they need the proper nutrition to keep them fueled for performances.
Alisha Annandale skates in Disney on Ice as an ensemble skater. She says they're on the road performing nine months out of the year, doing nine to 12 shows each week, so it's imperative they stay healthy. She says after a busy work day of shows, having a smoothie is easier for your body to digest. Plus, pumpkin has even more potassium than a banana, so it's great for your muscles.
Disney Pumpkin Smoothie
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp honey
Blend all ingredients in a blender, and enjoy!
