A 72-year-old man died in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday morning west of Faulkton.

The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family. He was the only person involved in the crash.

A 1998 Ford Windstar SE Sport was eastbound on U.S. Highway 212. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which eventually went into the ditch and rolled.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. He was transported to the Faulkton Area Medical Center and later died of his injuries.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on scene were the Faulk County Sheriff’s Office, Faulkton Fire Department and Faulkton Ambulance.
