SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -

A professional theater production is put together in less than a week's time, and the cast is all made up of kids.

At Laura Wilder Elementary in Sioux Falls, 50 students were selected to star in a play put on by the Dakota Players. The production is called "The Super Hero Show."

Kids get to act, and some even help with the technical side of theater with lighting and sound.

This process started on Monday and kids were finishing up rehearsals Thursday. The school says it supports learning in and out of the classroom.

"We want kids to excel at all kinds of different things try different opportunities and this is one way we can provide that," said Nancy Krueger, Laura Wilder Principal.

The kids will perform Friday at 1:30 p.m. and then again at 7:00 p.m. in the school's gym.

The public is welcome to attend.
