A student at O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls has been selected to perform in the Rose Parade in southern California.

Nathaniel Pekas, a junior, auditioned for a spot on the Bands of America Honor Band, where he will perform in the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade and at Disneyland.

Pekas will march the 5.5-mile long parade while playing the french horn in the 300 piece band complete with wind and percussion instruments along with a color guard and a dance team.

The 128th Rose Parade, also known as the "Rose Bowl Parade"  is Jan. 2, 2017. Catch Peka's performance along with the rest of the parade at 10 a.m. central on KDLT.
