The showers and thunderstorms that moved through southeastern South Dakota this morning have packed quite the punch.  Southern Sioux Falls appears to have gotten the worst of it as viewers have reported cars stalled in the deep water along 69th Street.

Radar estimates suggest much of the region saw a quickly accumulating 1-2" of rain this morning, but some locations have seen over 3".

The heavy rain will linger through the morning and more storms are expected tonight.  There is a Slight Risk for damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes this evening.  For more forecast information, click here.

A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect across southeastern South Dakota until 2:30 PM - additional rainfall is expected.
