Students and staff at South Dakota State University were notified Monday evening of a report of recent sexual assault on campus.
University officials say the assault occurred on Sept. 21. A female student reported the incident the next day. It reportedly took place in the Binnewies University Residence Hall.
This is the second report of sexual assault on campus since August.
Students and faculty are reminded to contact University police if they become a victim of a crime or believe they've witnessed a crime. Students are also encouraged to download SDSU's Jackrabbits Guardian smartphone app as an additional way to contact law enforcement.
