A Sioux Falls woman is facing 2 counts of Child Abuse after two of her children, including an infant, were dropped on their heads.

Police arrested Jena Red Feather early Thursday morning after finding her passed out in a home on the 1200 block of W. 10th Street.

Police say witnesses saw the mom-of-three, holding her 11-month-old by its feet upside down, and then dropped the child.

The fall is estimated to be about 3 ft. onto concrete.

The 4-year-old brother was also seen holding Red Feather's 1.5 month-old baby.

That baby was also reportedly dropped onto the ground.

Red Feather's PBT was point .21

"She wasn't even sure where she was, or what happened,” says Officer Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police Department. “She didn't have any recollection of the children being dropped or anything like that. Both children were taken into to the hospital and they were going to be kept there for observation."

The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

The 4-year-old child was taken into child custody.
