WOONSOCKET, S.D. -

Attorney General Marty Jackley has identified Jennifer Ann Gibson, 25, Woonsocket, as the victim in Sanborn County homicide case.

A Woonsocket man has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge in connection with an incident at a home that also prompted authorities to lock down a school.

The state's attorney general's office says 33-year-old Matthew Walter Novak was arrested Wednesday after authorities responded to an incident at a Woonsocket home. Neither that office nor the Sanborn County sheriff's office has released any details of the incident.

Woonsocket school district superintendent Rod Weber placed the school on lockdown around 10:30 a.m., after officers had surrounded the home. Weber says the lockdown lasted about 10 minutes.

Various law enforcement agencies are at the scene.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Novak has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
