Once again the Dakota State Trojans were in a dogfight.   This time they didn't have enough to pull off another close win over a GPAC foe.

Bryce Lidtka carried 43 times for 253 yards and four scores to lead Dordt to a season opening win over Dakota State 45-42 in Sioux Center, Iowa on Saturday night.

Brock Lamle also threw for 255 yards and score as the Defenders rallied from 11 down in the first half.

Jacob Giles went 24-41 for 317 yards and five touchdown passes in a losing effort.
