Four weeks into the regular season the Sioux Falls Cougars are alone atop the NSIC football standings.

They got there literally by the longest of yards.

Trailing 20-3 at half against 22nd ranked Bemidji State, the Cougars scored 34 third quarter points to take a 37-30 lead.  Then they had to sweat it out in the fourth, especially when Bemidji scored with 17 seconds left.

The Beavers went for two and the win, but the Coo stepped up for the stop, and hung on for a 37-36 win.

The 4-0 Cougars visit city rival Augustana Saturday at 1 PM.
