MINNEAPOLIS, MN -

U.S. Bank Stadium is now a realit.  It's been a long time coming. A couple of years they had to play at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the Gophers and now it's here. The fans loved it, all 67,000 for the home opener with Green Bay. But don't think the players didn't appreciate this just as much as the fans.

"It's incredible. I just think it's such a joy to see the state of Minnesota and Vikings hans from South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa really all over the world come in and enjoy it. I mean to have be such a build up over the years. To get to this point today and then to have it go your way is just beautiful."  Vikings LB & Mount Vernon Native Chad Greenway says.

"It's pretty amazing man, I mean coming here in the pre-season game was special but with the circumstances and Sunday Night Football the crowd's gonna be all juiced up and ready to go it's just incredible."  Former Vikings LB & Vermillion alum Ben Leber says.

"It's unbelievable. It was super loud. The amenities are really great, the video boards are unbelievable. Fans left happy because the Vikings won the game, but they also left prideful that they're happy with US Bank Stadium."  Vikings Radio Voice Paul Allen says.

"Growing up I always wanted to play in the Metrodome. This obviously blows it out of the water but I still loved playing in that Metrodome but no. It was great and I think just the atmosphere. The atmosphere you get in here is definitely an advantage for us."  Vikings WR Adam Thielen says.

So there's no question this Taj Mahal is really appreciated by the players of the Vikings for sure. They feel they'll have a true home field advantage throughout the rest of the season and in the forseeable future.
