After being named both the NSU Qdoba Athlete of the Week and the NSIC Defensive Player of the Week, Channing Barber has nabbed his third honor after a career day versus Southwest Minnesota State from Swisher Field this past Saturday. D2football.com released Thursday their national players of the week, with Barber earning the defensive pick.

Barber recorded a career high 11 tackles in a 51-35 win over Southwest Minnesota. The senior intercepted two passes, including one which he returned 70 yards for a touchdown. He also recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown for his second defensive score of the game. The honor marks the first of the senior's career from d2football.com.

Barber and the Wolves are set to face-off against Winona State on the road this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. between the two teams.
