Four Tigers Named To CoSIDA All-District Football Team

The Dakota Wesleyan University football team is pushing for the team’s first playoff appearance in 23 years with a 7-2 record and No. 18 ranking heading into the final two games of the 2015 season, but the team’s work in the classroom has garnered four Tigers an academic award.

Southwest Minnesota State University senior libero Whitney Burmeister has been named to the Academic All-District 7 team. The announcement was made by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

Northern State Soccer Nabs Four On All-NSIC Teams

Four Wolves have been named to the NSIC All-Conference soccer team’s for the 2015 season. Anna Bondy and Allie Macdonald headline the list with All-NSIC Second Team honors, while Sydney Shintaffer and Brittany Tietz earned All-NSIC Honorable Mention.

South Dakota State University kicker Jay Carlson has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after a career-best performance in the Jackrabbits' Oct. 31 victory at Missouri State.
