BROOKINGS, S.D. -

For two straight weeks the South Dakota State football team has gotten some pretty good national publicity.

Last week they opened eyes by hanging with Big 12 power TCU in a 59-41 loss.

Last night against Drake it was Britton native Dallas Goedert making a splash with this one handed touchdown catch in the second half!

It was the top play on ESPN's College Football Final and number five play on Sportscenter.

It highlighted an historic night.  State opened their new Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium with a 56-28 win over the Bulldogs.  Jake Wieneke also caught three touchdowns to tie the SDSU career record of 32 set by Jeff Tiefenthaler.  But on this night he, in a rare twist, got upstaged by Goedert's great grab.

The Jacks continue a three game homestand next Saturday against Cal Poly at 6 PM.
