Sioux Falls native Shannon Johnson made it to the Mid Amateur championship match Thursday after rolling past 4 of her 5 opponents. She faced 2013 winner Julia Potter for the title and Potter jumped out winning 4 of the first 6 holes.

Shannon rallied by winning holes 12-15 to even the match. But Potter made a clutch birdie on 16 and Johnson missed a par putt on 17 to keep the match going.  It was an amazing run for the O'Gorman grad who won numerous SDGA titles as an amateur.
