A somewhat soggy start to Independence Day for folks in the SE... rain showers will continue to move East but they are slow to leave our region, expect dry conditions to return by noon on the 4th. Winds will die down throughout the day and the clouds will be clearing throughout the day, so it looks like a calm and quiet night for your firework viewing pleasure! Sunday will be the better day out of the weekend for any outdoor activities you have planned for the holiday weekend. From there a warming trend sets ups that is indicative of summer weather, so we'll be feeling the heat by midweek. More widespread showers set up by the end of the week. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
