Happy Saturday everyone! Not as nice today with the clouds hanging around for most of us.  We did manage to reach the upper 60s to the southeast and low-to-mid 70s in the western portions of the viewing area.  We had some rain today but most of us picked up less than a tenth of an inch.  Tonight we will clear out and most of us will stay dry.  Some of us to the north could see some lingering showers but not a big deal.  Lows will drop down to near 50° with light winds out of the west-northwest.  Tomorrow will be much nicer with highs in the low 70s and sunshine.  It will be pretty breezy with winds out of the northwest gusting to 30-35mph across the Sioux Empire.  Winds will remain breezy for Memorial Day as well as an upper level disturbance brings us a chance for isolated showers tomorrow night and on Monday.  It won't be a wash-out by any means so plans should be good to go.  The best chance for showers on Memorial Day will be in the northern portions of the viewing area.  The disturbance I mentioned will also bring in slightly cooler air with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s on Monday and winds out of the northwest gusting to 30-35mph once again.

On Tuesday we won't quite warm up yet, but we will remain dry and breezy with winds gusting to 20-25mph across the area.  Lows will get down into the mid 40s which might affect some outdoor plants so keep that in mind as you might want to bring some of them indoors if need be.  Wednesday starts the warming trends with high pressure starting to build in; that means low 70s, sunshine, and light winds.  We warm up even more on Thursday as w start to get a southerly flow going with winds light out of the south.  We will warm up into the mid 70s and stay dry until Thursday night as isolated thunderstorms move in.  Friday we remain dry with sunshine and temperature in the upper 70s.  The 80s finally make a return in time for next weekend with more sunshine!  Have a great holiday weekend everyone!
