Barth Confident In Primary Election

Bookmark and Share

Jeff Barth wasn't taking to the streets trying to rally a few last minute votes. Instead he confidently cut his grass and reflected on the campaigning process that brought him to primary election day.

“It's been a joy. I don't feel like it was work. Mowing the yard is more like work,” said Barth.

Yard work wasn't the only thing Barth was busy doing Tuesday. He fulfilled his duties as a county commissioner, as well. He feels his role on the commission gives him the ability to negotiate budget issues in a non-partisan way.

“I think if people watch what we do on the county commission, we solve problems, we make government work,” said Barth.

Trying to fix how the government works in Washington has been the platform for Barth’s campaign.

“Washington is not working. It’s not going to work if we elect the same kind of people,” said Barth.

As he trimmed his lawn, Barth hoped that the number of competitors he faces would be cut as well.

“There are quite a few thoughtful citizens that will choose to vote for me. And, I think I'm offering a great alternative to the incumbent and the other candidate,” said Barth.

A candidate, who hopes to bring change to Washington, waits to see if his campaigning will pay off.
