Veterans Honored In Lennox

Veterans were honored Monday in Lennox. The middle school students put on a special program.
The Veterans Day program has been taking place for many years in Lennox. It was started by teachers who wanted kids to understand and respect the people who fought for their freedom.
It’s also a way to recognize veterans who attend the program. The school’s principal says the sixth graders provide the music, the seventh graders write poems, and the eighth graders write essays.
The veterans say they appreciate a program like this, and say it is important for young people to understand what veterans have done.
