SDSU jacked up for revenge!

Bookmark and Share

ROUND TWO. AFTER BLOWING OUT EASTERN ILLINOIS LAST SATURDAY, THE SDSU JACKS NOW TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO YET ANOTHER BORDER BATTLE. THIS TIME, LOSER GOES HOME.

John Stiegelmeier-SDSU Football Coach: "It's a unique excitement. To win the first one in the playoff system, if you will. Then to go to like opponent, or a familiar opponent is a unique situation, but we're ready for it, we're excited."

SATURDAY, THE JACKS HEAD UP TO FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA TO TAKE ON THE IN-CONFERENCE RIVAL, THE BISON FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS SEASON AFTER LOSING 20-17 IN THE FARGO DOME BACK ON NOVEMBER 10TH JUST A FEW SHORT WEEKS AGO. BUT EVEN THOUGH THEY CAME UP SHORT, THE CONFIDENCE IS HIGH.

Stiegelmeier says: "I think the confidence is great. Again, when you do something and you have success doing it, it's suppose to build your confidence. Especially the last game, we did a lot of things really well. Now you also have the memory of competing against North Dakota State before so that kind of inter-weaves with your confidence."

Bo Helm-Defensive Back: "I think the biggest thing is just dont beat ourselves. Don't make mistakes."

Stiegelmeier says:"I think the biggest thing that we've addressed that we talk about differences from the last time we went up there is we need to correct the errors. I don't know if we would have won the football game, but nine penalties in that environment is unacceptable and we can do that."

AND LIMITING THOSE PENALTIES WILL BE A TOUGH TASK AT THE HANDS OF THE BISON FAITHFUL.

Helm says: "It's loud, it's real loud up there, but it's fun. It's probably one of the funner atmospheres to be in. They have a really good following and so it's fun to be up in that atmosphere."

Stiegelmeier says: "Well that's a tough environment, but think about it, we were up there three weeks ago, we go back, the guys that have never been there, it's not going to be near as tough because they're used to it now so it would be tougher next year going up there. So we welcome the trip."

HOPING THE ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP HAS ANOTHER PIT STOP.
