Fugitive May Be Traveling Through SD

FBI Minneapolis is assisting FBI Salt Lake City, the Post Falls, Idaho Police Department, and the Kootenai County Sherriff’s Office in Idaho with the search for a 57-year-old Mitchell Lee Walck, wanted for questioning for allegedly firing at an Idaho State Police trooper, fleeing the scene, and later kidnapping an adult female.
This notification is being sent out because of the violent nature of Walck and the possibility that Walck may be traveling through North or South Dakota and/or Minnesota.
As law enforcement works to locate Walck, the FBI is assisting local law enforcement to get the attached press releases and link below to multiple media outlets.
The suspect is described as being 5-08 to 5-10, medium build, wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt, light blue jeans and possibly a blue ball cap. Walck may have changed his appearance, shaving all but his mustache and dying his hair black.
The suspect was last seen driving the victim’s 2005 Subaru Forester, silver in color with an Idaho license plate K230050.
Important reminder: Walck is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact law enforcement immediately and reminded not to approach him.
